Issue 4 | HRC Quarterly Newsletter | December 2017

Little is Much when God is in it

Key Highlights

Quarter 4 was a busy and exciting period for HRC and those connected to it. The group remains grateful to its supporters without whose support some of the group’s 2017 dreams might not have come true.

October – The ProjectTose campaign was launched. An Introductory meeting was held with the group’s sponsors and supporters – Thank you Mr & Mrs Chipawe for the chairs and Mr & Mrs Ncube for the venue, you are truly appreciated.

November – Preparatory month for 9/12 program with intensive practice sessions and logistical arrangements.

December – 9/12 – There was no better way of ending the quarter and closing the year than a Thanksgiving program coupled with the wedding of two of the group’s members.

From the Directors’ Desk

Indeed, practice makes perfect! The quality of music produced by the group on 9/12 was a product of the intense practice session. Sessions were spent rehearsing, reinforcing and complimenting some routines.

One of the sessions was held at Mr. & Mrs. Dengure’s residence – be blessed! Grateful to Music Directors, group members and technical directors (Mr. Matsilelele, Mr. Ndimande and Mr. Tozi Mutowembwa) – the 9/12 audience was blessed by the fruits of your labor. We are truly thankful to Golden Vocals (Zambia), Heralds of the Morning & Nharirire for heeding the call to duty. Your support on 9th December made all the difference.

– Song of the Quarter –
There was no other befitting song for the quarter than the theme song for the 9/12 program – Little is Much When God Is it! Indeed, being bigger or smaller, more or less in number, rich or poor, great or small, strong or weak is not the main issue. The greater issue is having God all along in whatever we think, say or do!

Supporting HRC in Mission

For HRC’s 9/12 Thanksgiving program to become a reality, our appreciation goes to the group’s sponsors – Mr Nyatanga, Mr & Mrs Zvenyika, Mr & Mrs Muzhiki, Mr & Mrs Dengure, Mr & Mrs Ncube, Mr & Mrs Mpofu, Mr & Mrs Janda, Mr & Mrs Katsidzira, Mr & Mrs Munyaka, Mr & Mrs Hoto, Mr & Mrs Nyamhenda and Mr & Mrs Mutimbanyoka. We appreciate you and pray that you will know how special you are to the HRC family.

HRC also values the support of music groups mentioned above, invited guests, officers and the audience – your presence was a great vote of confidence in the group’s mission.

The group also runs short of words for the overwhelming response received from well-wishers on the ProjectTose Campaign. A special thank you to St Peters Secondary School – Mbare Interact Club. Because of your generous hearts, little indeed became much. The following items were handed over to Tose Respite Care Centre on 9TH December by Dr DM Sibanda (Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, Science and Technology Development).

ProjectTose is here to stay and we hope to continue working with you in the coming years.

HRC was humbled by the unwavering support from the group’s regular sponsors throughout the year. The group would not have achieved what it did without the support in many forms – cash, venues for group activities, printing services, chairs for events, group publicity, CD Sales, hampers and vouchers. To all our supporters and sponsors, we pray that the Lord blesses you more in a very special way as you have been a blessing to the group.
